Baramati is a State Assembly/Vidhan Sabha consituency is a part of the Baramati Lok Sabha seat. Nationalist Congress Party’s Supriya Sule won this seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by a margin of 155774 votes.
NCP’s Ajit Anantrao Pawar won Baramati assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 89791 votes. Runner-up Balasaheb Alias Prabhakar Dadaram Gawade of BJP bagged 60797 votes. Third position was held by SHS's Adv.rajendra Dattatraya Kale. Fourth came Adv. Aakash Vijayrao More while Potre Anil Haribhau of BSP got the fifth spot.
