Katol is a State Assembly/Vidhan Sabha consituency is a part of the Ramtek Lok Sabha seat. Shiv Sena’s Krupal Balaji Tumane won this seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by a margin of 126783 votes.
BJP’s Dr Ashish Deshmukh won Katol assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 5557 votes. Runner-up Anil Deshmukh of NCP bagged 64787 votes. Third position was held by SHS's Rajendra Manohar Harne. Fourth came Rahul Virendrababu Deshmukh while Dinesh Sheshrao Thakare of INC got the fifth spot.
