Aurangabad East is a State Assembly/Vidhan Sabha consituency is a part of the Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat. All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen’s Imtiaz Jaleel Syed won this seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by a margin of 4492 votes.
BJP’s Atul Moreshwar Save won Aurangabad East assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 4260 votes. Runner-up Dr. Abdul Gaffar Quadri of AIMIM bagged 60268 votes. Third position was held by INC's Darda Rajendra Jawaharlal. Fourth came Kalaoza while Kacharu Shripat Sonawane of BSP got the fifth spot.
