SHS’s Sonawane Chandrakant Baliram won Chopda assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 11935 votes. Runner-up Patil Madhuri Kishor of NCP bagged 42241 votes. Third position was held by BJP's Jagdishchandra Ramesh Valvi. Fourth came Dr. Barela Chandrakant Jamsing while Itbar A. Tadavi of MNS got the fifth spot.
