BJP’s Dhanare Paskal Janya won Dahanu assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 16700 votes. Runner-up Mangat Barkya Vansha of CPM bagged 28149 votes. Third position was held by NCP's Kashinath Govind Chaudhari. Fourth came Padwale Ramesh Dama while Sudhir Rajaram Ozare of IND got the fifth spot.
