AIMIM’s Sayed Imtiaz Jalil won Aurangabad central assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 19982 votes. Runner-up Pradeep Jaiswal of SHS bagged 41861 votes. Third position was held by BJP's Tanwani Kishanchand Lekhraj. Fourth came Patil Vinod Narayan while Jagtap Sanjay Uttamrao of BSP got the fifth spot.
