NCP’s Pichad Vaibhav Madhukar won Akole assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 20062 votes. Runner-up Talpade Madhukar Shankar of SHS bagged 47634 votes. Third position was held by BJP's Ashok Yashwant Bhangare. Fourth came Bhangre Namdev Ganga while Bhangare Satish Namdeo of INC got the fifth spot.
