NCP’s Rajeshbhaiyya Tope won Ghansawangi assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 43476 votes. Runner-up Kharat Vilasrao Vitthalrao of BJP bagged 54554 votes. Third position was held by SHS's Hikmat Udhan. Fourth came Ardad Sunil Kacharubappa while Dr. Sanjay Nilkanthrao Lakhepatil of INC got the fifth spot.
