NCP’s Jadhav (patil) Makrand Laxmanrao won Wai assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 38702 votes. Runner-up Bhosale Madanprataprao of INC bagged 62516 votes. Third position was held by BJP's Jadhav Purushottam Bajirao. Fourth came Bavalekar Dattaray Maruti(d.m) while Sanjay Namdev Gaikwad of IND got the fifth spot.
