BJP’s Harish Marotiappa Pimple won Murtizapur assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 12888 votes. Runner-up Rahul Shesharao Dongare of BBM bagged 41338 votes. Third position was held by SHS's Mahadev Bapurao Gawale. Fourth came Ingle Shravan Shekoji while Dr. Sudhir Sahebrao Vilhekar of NCP got the fifth spot.
