Arni is a State Assembly/Vidhan Sabha consituency is a part of the Chandrapur Lok Sabha seat. Indian National Congress’s Balubhau Alias Suresh Narayan Dhanorkar won this seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by a margin of 44763 votes.
BJP’s Raju Narayan Todsam won Arni assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 20721 votes. Runner-up Moghe Shivajirao Shivramaji of INC bagged 66270 votes. Third position was held by SHS's Sandip Prabhakarrao Dhurve. Fourth came Shinde Ranjita Parashram while Vishnu Shankarrao Ukande of NCP got the fifth spot.
