Bihar Rain News: Heavy rainfall expected in Rohtas, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, and Arwal. Patna and neighbouring districts to receive intermittent rain.

Bihar Rain Alert, September 16: The monsoon is set to remain active in Bihar on Monday, with significant rainfall anticipated across the region. The Patna office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain for most districts in South Bihar. A warning has been issued for six districts in the region, alerting residents to the potential for severe weather, including heavy rainfall, lightning, and thunderstorms.

In particular, Rohtas, Kaimur, and Aurangabad are expected to experience very heavy rainfall in certain areas, while Gaya, Nawada, and Arwal are likely to see heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms. The capital city, Patna, and its neighbouring districts should also brace for intermittent rain throughout the day.

The Patna weather reports that the monsoon axis is currently extending from a deep depression over the sea, traversing from Firozpur, Patiala, Shahjahanpur, Ballia, and Gangetic West Bengal toward the southeast through the Bay of Bengal. This pattern is expected to keep the monsoon active in 19 districts of South Bihar on Monday, with light to moderate rainfall anticipated across the region.

In North Bihar, light to moderate rain is forecast for Saran, Vaishali, and Gopalganj, with other districts likely to experience light rain under cloudy conditions. A drop in temperature by two to three degrees is also expected.
