Probe Ordered Against Unidentified Individuals
The authorities concerned have started an inquiry into the matter.
According to Panchal, the Sub Divisional Officer of Jalna immediately seized the voter ID cards after receiving information about the matter. The probe will include determining whether the individuals to whom the voter ID cards belong obtained new ones from the Election Commission.
"It is also being investigated if the persons whose Voter ID cards have been found got a new card issued from the Election Commission. Did someone intentionally drop these cards? Where did he get it from?" ANI quoted Panchal as saying.
He said all these people would be traced and appropriate action will be taken after the investigation is over.
"As we received the information, the Sub Divisional Officer of Jalna immediately confiscated those voter ID cards. Further investigation is being done," the officer added.
