Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal on June 23 in an intimate civil ceremony at her residence in Mumbai.

In a joint interview with ETimes, the newlyweds shared insights about their wedding. Zaheer also discussed how he nervously asked for Sonakshi's hand in marriage and his conversation with her father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha.

Zaheer recalled, "I went to their house, and I was nervous because I had never had a one-on-one chat with him (Shatrughan Sinha) before. Once we started talking, we discussed a million things and became like friends. I told him I wanted to marry his daughter.
