Cricket fans are eagerly anticipating the much-awaited return of 'Thala' MS Dhoni to the field in the upcoming 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024).

MS Dhoni had officially confirmed his participation in IPL 2024 after securing the trophy in the previous season.

MS Dhoni, who underwent knee surgery post IPL 2023, has successfully recovered, as evidenced by recent viral images of his training sessions in Ranchi circulating on social media.

MS Dhoni is expected to join the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and commence training with the team in March.

A CSK team official, speaking to RevSportz, shared, "I haven’t spoken to him (MS Dhoni) of late. But we would love to see him continue. He will come to Chennai and start training (with the team) in the first week of March."

Despite playing IPL 2023 with a knee injury, Dhoni, the CSK captain, managed to lead the team efficiently, not missing any games throughout the season.

As the iconic cricketer continues to lead CSK, the franchise faces the challenging task of identifying a suitable successor once Dhoni decides to retire.
