Delhi Daredevils star joins new team

The 35-year-old has featured in 35 internationals for Australia.

He has been signed by the franchise on a three-year contract.

Christian played four matches for Delhi Daredevils, scoring just 26 runs and scalping four wickets.

This will be his third stint in the BBL after having earlier played of Brisbane Heats and Hobart Hurricanes in the past seasons.

He is considered as of the most experienced player in the Big Bash League, scoring 1097 runs and clinching 47 wickets in the history of the tournament.

But, before they disperse, their star player has signed a new deal in the Big Bash League.

Veteran all-rounder Dan Christian has been roped in by Melbourne Renegades for the forthcoming season.

The Delhi outfit has only managed to collect 6 points from 12 games, winning three and losing 9 matches.

Daredevils were also forced to appoint a new captain in middle of the season after Gautam Gambhir decided to step down following a torrid start.

Though Shreyas Iyer showed some excellent leadership qualities but his efforts were not enough to take Delhi through the playoffs.

Delhi will only play for pride in their remaining two matches.

After a disastrous performance in IPL 11, Delhi Daredevils were the first team to be thrown out from the playoff contention.
