According to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, India is growing faster than ever before. During the opening of the NCC Republic Day Camp -2023 in New Delhi this morning, he stated that the nation has now emerged as a global investment and opportunity destination. (Image Source: PTI)

He described the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 as a 'game changer' while speaking to about 2,500 NCC cadets from across the nation at the camp. He also said that India is set to rise as the third largest economy by the end of this decade.  The vice president lauded the contribution of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to nation-building by "inculcating character, comradeship and the spirit of selfless service among young students". "I congratulate you for being part of this momentous occasion. Undoubtedly, you as NCC cadets will by conduct exemplify and help evolve an ecosystem that will always keep our nation first," he said, as reported by PTI. He further continued, "We are in the 'Amritkal' of our independence. Our Bharat is on the rise as never before. It is now the fifth largest global economy. Only a few months we overtook the UK. The 74th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2023 commenced at Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantt on January 02, 2023. (Image Source: PTI)

The one-month Camp will involve 2,155 cadets, including 710 girls, from all 28 States and 8 Union Territories. As part of the youth exchange programme, cadets and officers from 19 friendly nations will also attend the Camp. (Image Source: PTI)
