UGC-NET Row: NTA Cancels 3 Papers, Announces Re-Test

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again come under scrutiny following irregularities in the UGC-NET examination. After the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG paper leak, an expert committee identified multiple errors in the UGC-NET question papers for English, Commerce and Sociology. NTA has therefore cancelled these three papers and announced fresh examinations on September 9 and 10, 2026. The English paper will be held on September 9 from 9 AM to 12 PM, while the Commerce paper will take place from 3 PM to 6 PM the same day. The Sociology examination is scheduled for September 10 from 9 AM to 12 PM. Candidates appearing for the re-test will not have to pay any additional examination fee
