BREAKING: Massive Fire at Tarapith Hotel Claims Six Lives

A major tragedy has been reported from Tarapith in Birbhum, West Bengal, where a massive fire broke out at a hotel in the early hours of the morning, reportedly killing six devotees and injuring five others. According to preliminary information, the fire is suspected to have started due to a short circuit on the lower floor before rapidly spreading through the four-storey building. The hotel was reportedly crowded with devotees who had arrived at Tarapith Temple on the occasion of the third Shravan Monday. Panic spread among those staying at the hotel as flames engulfed the building. Firefighters and police teams reached the spot, brought the fire under control and rescued people trapped inside. The injured were taken to hospital, while the bodies of the deceased were recovered. Meanwhile, another tragedy occurred in Lakhisarai, Bihar, at the Ashok Dham Temple during the third Shravan Monday. A stampede reportedly resulted in seven deaths, while more than six people were injured. Authorities have expressed concern that the death toll could rise. The two incidents have cast a shadow over Shravan Monday celebrations, with devotees becoming victims of separate tragedies in West Bengal and Bihar.
