Jammu And Kashmir: Man Dies After Mortar Shell Explodes In Samba District, Another Injured
Police said some persons were fiddling with an old mortar shell after picking it up from a forest area, resulting in its explosion.
A man died and another was left injured after a mortar shell they found exploded in a forest area of Chandli village, Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, on Friday, police said. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh told news agency ANI that a man was killed and another was injured after a mortar shell explosion.
"An unfortunate incident took place in the village of Chandli. A man was killed and another was injured after a mortar shell they found in the forest area exploded. The injured person has been hospitalised, and he is stable now. He has been transferred to GMC Jammu," said Benam Tosh, SSP Samba.

Four Soldiers Killed In Terrorist Ambush In Rajouri
Four Indian Army soldiers were killed after terrorists ambushed two vehicles while they were heading for a counter-terrorist operation in the area on Thursday. The attack took place in the Dera ki Gali area of the region.
People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), an offshoot of Pakistani terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed, claimed responsibility for the attack. On Friday, a National Investigation Agency (NIA) team reached Jammu & Kashmir as security personnel launched a massive search operation in the forest area of Rajouri district to trace the terrorists who ambushed the Army vehicles, ANI reported.
The cordon and search operation has been launched in the forest area of Dera ki Gali with ground as well as aerial support.
