Delhi: School Student Stabs Three Classmates Following Quarrel, Arrested
The 20-year-old student stabbed his classmates following a quarrel at a government school in Bhati Mines area.
A 20-year-old student was arrested in Delhi for allegedly stabbing his classmates following a quarrel at a government school in Bhati Mines area, PTI reported. The incident happened on Wednesday, police said.
A student of Class 12, Mohit, had a heated argument with his classmate during lunch break which soon turned into a scuffle. During the scuffle, Mohit took out a knife and stabbed his classmate in the chest, PTI reported.
When fellow classmates intervened, they too were attacked by Mohit and suffered injuries, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Benita Mary Jaiker said.

Soon, police were alerted and they reached the school in Sanjay Colony and arrested Mohit. The injured were taken to AIIMS, the officer said.
A case under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Maidan Garhi police station, PTI quoted Benita Mary Jaiker as saying.
Last year, four Class 10 students were stabbed outside a school in East Delhi. The students were coming out of Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya school in Mayur Vihar's Phase II when they were attacked by students from another school. Five accused, all minors, were sent to a juvenile correction home.
Following the incident, other students who witnessed the crime rushed the four boys to Delhi's Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. All the boys wounded in the stabbing were between 15 to 16 years old.
