RCB vs RR: Head-To-Head Record Reveals Tight Contest

RCB will look to complete a season double over Rajasthan, having defeated them by nine wickets in their previous encounter this year.

Match 42 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season will feature a clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals on April 24 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Rajasthan Royals come into this game in poor form, having secured just two wins from eight matches and currently riding a four-match losing streak. Adding to their woes, skipper Sanju Samson is unavailable due to injury, with Riyan Parag likely to lead the side again.

On the other hand, RCB have had a much better campaign, winning five out of their eight games and sitting comfortably at third place on the points table. They'll look to continue their momentum and complete a season double over Rajasthan, having defeated them by nine wickets in their previous encounter this year.

Bangalore vs Rajasthan: Head-to-Head History

As for their head-to-head record, RCB and RR have faced each other 33 times in IPL history. RCB leads slightly with 16 wins, while RR have won 14 games. Three matches have ended with no result. The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is known as a batting paradise, where short boundaries and quick outfield often lead to lots of boundaries and sixes. Despite its reputation, no team has crossed the 200-run mark at this venue so far in IPL 2025.

Historically, Chinnaswamy has hosted 98 IPL matches. Of these, teams batting second have had more success, winning 53 matches compared to 41 wins for teams batting first - making the toss and decision to bowl first a strategic advantage.

The highest team total in IPL history was recorded at this ground when Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The average first-innings score at Chinnaswamy stands at 167, highlighting its reputation as a venue where big runs are always on the cards.
