On Day 2 of IND vs ENG 2nd Test, Jaiswal achieved the milestone of becoming the third youngest Indian batter, following Vinod Kambli and Sunil Gavaskar, to notch a Test double century.

The left-handed opener, aged 22 years and 37 days, resumed batting on Day 2 from his overnight score of 179 runs.

In an undefeated innings spanning 277 balls, Jaiswal showcased pure class as he celebrated his maiden double century with style. His remarkable knock comprised 201 runs, featuring 18 boundaries and seven sixes.

Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved the landmark of a double century with a six and boundary off Shoaib Bashir's over.

Vinod Kambli holds the record as the youngest Indian batter to score a double century in Test cricket. The left-handed batter was 21 years and 32 days when he scored 224 runs vs England in Mumbai in 1993.

Sunil Gavaskar, second in this elite list, was 21 years and 283 days old when he completed his memorable innings of 220 runs against West Indies in Port of Spain in 1971.
