Sonam Kapoor Starts Shooting For Upcoming Action Thriller ‘Blind’ In Glasgow

New Delhi: Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor started her acting career with the 2007 film ‘Saawariya’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Before setting off her foot as a lead actress in Bollywood, the style icon worked as an assistant director in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s critically acclaimed movie ‘Black’ which starred Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. Directed by Shome Makhija, the plot of this film reportedly revolves around a blind police officer who is search of a serial killer. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the news. “SONAM KAPOOR: CRIME THRILLER STARTS TODAY... Start-to-finish shooting of #Blind - starring #SonamKapoorAhuja - commences today in #Glasgow [#Scotland]... Story of a blind police officer in pursuit of a serial killer... Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh also tweeted, “my brother @Shomemakhija turns director today  + the nutcase @sonamakapoor stars! hopefully i get to assist.”

Sonam Kapoor feels that shooting for her upcoming movie is the ‘Best way to start 2021’.

Other than Sonam Kapoor, ‘Blind’ also stars Vinay Pathak, Purab Kohli and Lilette Dubey. Sujoy Ghosh, Avishek Ghosh and Manisha W, Pinkesh Nahar, Sachin Nahar as well as Hyunwoo Thomas Kim are on board as producers for this action thriller reportedly. Sonam has had a fluctuating career ever since her debut. She starred in movies like ‘Delhi 6’, ‘Aisha’, ‘Dolly Ki Doli’, ‘Raanjhanaa’ and others. The actress, however, received the National Film Award for her portrayal of Neerja Bhanot in the 2016 biographical thriller ‘Neerja’. The ‘Sanju’ actress was last seen illustrating a cameo role as herself in the Anil Kapoor starrer movie ‘Ak Vs AK’.
