EXCLUSIVE: Dilip Kumar Was Suffering From Prostate Cancer Since Last 2-3 Years

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar was battling prostate cancer since the past two to three years.

Mumbai: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was laid to rest in Juhu’s cemetery will full state honours on Wednesday (July 7) evening. His fans were not aware that Bollywood’s ‘Tragedy King’ was suffering from cancer since the past few years. Kumar was facing several age-related ailments. He was battling prostate cancer since the last 2-3 years. A reliable source from the hospital informed ABP News about the same. 

The source shared further details about Dilip Kumar’s cancer and revealed that the actor was admitted to the hospital regularly as he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. A close family source also confirmed the same while taking to ABP News.

What Is Prostate Cancer? 

The prostate, which is regulated by the hormone testosterone, produces a fluid called semen. Semen is a fluid containing spermatozoa that comes out of the urethra during ejaculation. When there is an abnormal and malignant growth of cells in the prostate, a tumor is formed which is called prostate cancer. 

Nobody knew that Dilip Kumar was suffering from prostate cancer. The doctors would share different reasons whenever the ‘Devdas’ actor was admitted in the hospital. His wife Saira Banu also never mentioned anything about his cancer diagnosis.

Dilip Kumar took his last breath at around 7.30 am at PD Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai. The thespian was hospitalized for treatment on June 29, 2021.
