Toyota Innova Hycross Crossover First Image-India Launch Soon

Compared to the current Innova Crysta, the new Innova Hycross will have a broader look like an SUV along with a new tail-lamp design.

Toyota Indonesia has released the first teaser for the new generation Innova which would be called Innova Hycross in India. This is the much anticipated new generation for this MPV and would be a big change. It is interesting that the design and the brief show that Toyota is promoting it as a crossover with the new Innova Hycross having an SUV-like look.

You see a large hexagonal grille with a prominent lower part of the bumper while the headlamp design itself is quite premium.

With the bonnet and the way the bumper is designed, the new Innova has a more SUV-like look and the rest of the design would be bigger than the current version as well.

Compared to the current Innova Crysta, the new Innova Hycross will have a broader look like an SUV along with a new tail-lamp design.

A big change is the new Innova Hycross is based on the TNGA-C platform and will no longer be based on a ladder-frame platform. It will be a front wheel drive car with a hybrid powertrain. The hybrid Innova Hycross will have 2.0l petrol along with an electric motor to boost efficiency.

The interiors would be much more luxurious as well with a lot of technology plus comfort. The new Innova Hycross would be launched in India after Indonesia with the India unveil expected to be soon.

The new Innova Hycross would be more premium and takes a luxury route while for the first time will not be available with a diesel engine unlike the current Crysta. Toyota is clearly looking at a hybrid future with future products expected to have some sort of electrification on offer.

The Hyrcross is one of the biggest cars in terms of launches and it will be a premium product being positioned slightly above the current Innova Crysta.
