Redmi Watch Move Brings Hindi Language Support Front & Centre In Budget Smartwatch Space

Redmi Watch Move runs on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS platform and also supports Bluetooth calling.

Xiaomi has officially pulled the wraps off the Redmi Watch Move in India, and while smartwatches with AMOLED displays and fitness features are becoming the norm, this one stands out by talking your talk, quite literally. With full Hindi language support, the new wearable is making accessibility a headline feature, aiming to connect with a wider range of users who prefer their tech in their native tongue.

Available from May 1 on Flipkart, Xiaomi’s website, and physical stores, the Redmi Watch Move is priced at Rs 1,999. Pre-bookings go live on April 24, and customers can take their pick from Blue Blaze, Black Drift, Gold Rush, and Silver Sprint colourways.

Designed To Impress: AMOLED Display And Rotating Crown

Aesthetically, the Redmi Watch Move doesn’t stray far from premium aspirations. It features a 1.85-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390x450 pixels, peaking at 600 nits of brightness and offering Always-On Display support. The screen boasts a 60Hz refresh rate and 74% screen-to-body ratio, packed into a lightweight 25g body.

Navigation is easy with a functional rotating crown, allowing users to scroll through apps and alerts single-handedly. Built to survive daily hustle, the smartwatch is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and comes with a skin-friendly, anti-allergy TPU strap.

Hindi Language, HyperOS, And Fitness First

The Redmi Watch Move runs on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS platform and supports Bluetooth calling. Users can sync notes, to-dos, weather updates, and calendar events straight from their phones. But the standout is its native Hindi language interface, making it one of the most accessible smartwatches in its price segment.

The watch is compatible with both Android and iOS devices via the Mi Fitness app, which allows users to store up to 10 contacts on the watch.

Health-conscious users will appreciate the 140+ sports modes, along with tracking for heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), stress, sleep cycles, and even menstrual health. Xiaomi claims a tracking accuracy of 98.5 per cent — an impressive stat for a watch at this price.

Battery life is another highlight, with the 300mAh battery promising up to 14 days of juice on typical use. Heavy usage brings that down to around 10 days, while Always-On Display users can expect about five days. The watch also includes an "Ultra" Battery Saver Mode to stretch usage further.

With Hindi support leading the feature list and a price tag that won't break the bank, the Redmi Watch Move is positioning itself as the go-to choice for first-time smartwatch buyers and regional language users alike.
