Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro SoC, Battery Size Confirmed: Here's All You Need To Know

While Xiaomi hasn’t disclosed an official launch date yet, reports suggest that May 22 might be when the curtain rises on the Civi 5 Pro.

As the launch of Xiaomi's much-hyped Civi 5 Pro nears, the company has begun revealing some key specs — and the confirmations are turning early leaks into reality. The smartphone, expected to debut in China soon, has now been officially teased with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and a sizable 6,000mAh battery.

Snapdragon Muscle Confirmed

Weeks of speculation about the Civi 5 Pro’s processor have now ended with Xiaomi confirming that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. This announcement came through teaser posters shared by the company on its official Weibo handle, as reported by Gizmochina.

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is designed to bring top-tier capabilities to premium mid-range phones, offering noticeable upgrades in CPU speed, GPU performance, and AI-driven tasks. With this chip onboard, the Civi 5 Pro could very well punch above its weight in terms of performance.

Big Battery, Slim Frame

Despite housing a hefty 6,000mAh battery, Xiaomi claims the Civi 5 Pro retains a surprisingly slim 7.45mm profile. The company hasn’t revealed the device's exact weight yet, but the thin design suggests Xiaomi is focused on keeping the phone sleek without sacrificing endurance.

Charging won’t be a bottleneck either, as the phone supports 67W wired fast charging. Xiaomi has also equipped the device with a dedicated heat dissipation system to manage thermals — a necessary move given the powerful internals and charging speed.

Stylish Display and Leica Cameras

On the front, users will get a 6.55-inch micro-curved OLED display featuring ultra-narrow bezels for an immersive viewing experience. The Civi lineup is known for its eye-catching designs, and the Civi 5 Pro continues that legacy with colour options including purple, pink, white, and black.

Camera enthusiasts can look forward to a triple 50MP Leica-powered setup on the rear. While details about additional camera features remain under wraps, the Leica partnership hints at serious photography credentials.

As Xiaomi stated earlier, “the Civi 5 Pro will be 7.45mm thin,” emphasising the brand’s commitment to balancing form and function.

Launch Date Still a Mystery — For Now

While Xiaomi hasn’t disclosed an official launch date yet, reports suggest that May 22 might be when the curtain rises on the Civi 5 Pro. The tech giant has promised to share more details in the days to come, building excitement for what could be one of its sleekest, most capable phones in the Civi series to date.
