OnePlus 13s To Skip Global Launch, India Gets Exclusive Release: What We Know So Far

OnePlus has decided to limit the release of its upcoming flagship to India, with company executives confirming the absence of launch plans for Western markets.

The highly anticipated OnePlus 13s smartphone is on its way — but only to India. As reported by The Verge, OnePlus has confirmed that the device, known as the OnePlus 13T in China, will not be launching in Europe or North America, breaking away from the brand’s usual global rollout strategy.

OnePlus 13s to Go India-Only: No Love for Europe or North America

In a surprising move, OnePlus has decided to limit the release of its upcoming flagship to India, with company executives confirming the absence of launch plans for Western markets. Celina Shi, Chief Marketing Officer at OnePlus Europe, confirmed the brand’s decision, stating, “The company currently has no plans to launch the 13s in Europe.”

Similarly, Spencer Blank, head of marketing for OnePlus North America, confirmed that users in the US and Canada won’t be getting the device either. While OnePlus hasn't revealed a specific launch date, the phone has already been listed as “coming soon” on the brand’s India website.

Specs to Watch: Flagship Power with a Few Twists

Though official Indian specifications remain under wraps, expectations are based on the Chinese OnePlus 13T model. The phone is expected to feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Elite” chipset, along with up to 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of internal storage. A flat-edged 6.32-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate promises slick visuals, while the camera setup will include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 2x telephoto lens, and a 16MP selfie shooter.

Battery life should be another highlight, with the device likely to carry a 6,260mAh battery supported by 80W fast charging. Interestingly, OnePlus has replaced its signature alert slider with a new customizable “Quick Key” button, a move that might divide longtime fans.

Global Fans Left Out in the Cold

With a projected price range of Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000 in India, the OnePlus 13s is shaping up to be a compelling flagship contender. However, for fans outside the country, getting their hands on the device won’t be easy — or risk-free.

Those considering importing the phone should tread carefully. OnePlus has warned that the 13s may not support all network bands in foreign regions, potentially leading to limited connectivity. Moreover, without an official launch, there will be no warranty or after-sales service for international buyers.

In short, the OnePlus 13s may pack flagship power, but if you're not in India, you’re out of luck — unless you're willing to take the gamble.
