You Can Now Use Google Gemini On Android To Play & Search Music On Spotify, Here's How

Google has explained that the Spotify extension is only functional within the Gemini app or when Gemini is set as the default assistant.

Google has rolled out a new Gemini extension for Spotify, allowing users to interact with the Gemini AI assistant on Android devices to play and search for music on the platform. As stated in an update on the Gemini Support page, users can now request the Gemini app to play or search for specific songs, albums, artists, playlists, and more on Spotify. This follows similar functionality already available for YouTube Music, which integrates with Gemini.

Spotify becomes the second third-party app to integrate with Google’s Gemini AI assistant, after WhatsApp, which was the first to offer Gemini-powered messaging and calling features. Additionally, Google has started introducing a new Utilities extension for Gemini, which enables users to launch apps, websites, or Android settings through voice prompts.
