Chirag Paswan Likely To Contest Bihar Polls, May Choose This Seat

Chirag Paswan may contest the Bihar Assembly elections, with Patna, Danapur, or Hajipur as possible seats. Final decision rests with him, says party.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan may contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, according to high-level party sources. A recent LJP executive meeting held in Patna saw a unanimous decision in favor of Chirag entering the state electoral arena.

As per the sources, three constituencies are under consideration for Chirag Paswan — Patna, Danapur, and Hajipur. However, the final decision will rest with Chirag himself.

Party leaders believe Chirag’s consistent push for the “Bihar First, Bihari First” vision has struck a chord with the public. An internal survey conducted by the party revealed that a majority of people feel Chirag should take a more active role in Bihar’s development by contesting the state elections.
