On Tuesday, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team also distributed food, drinking water and other essential items to the flood-affected areas in Vijayawada through helicopters along with Central forces and district officials.

On the rescue operation, Indian Air Force said, "Late last evening, @IAF_MCC swiftly responded to the call for augmenting NDRF effort. Two IL-76 aircraft took off at dawn from Halwara and Bhatinda, airlifting 242 NDRF personnel and 30 tons of relief material to Vijayawada and Shamshabad. Helicopters are also on standby in the affected areas, ready to provide further assistance."

The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) stated that Ministers, IAS, and IPS officers are coordinating relief efforts ward-by-ward in the central commercial city, where many neighborhoods were flooded.

Priority is being given to basic necessities, and 43,417 affected people have been relocated to rehabilitation centers. A total of 48 NDRF and SDRF teams are providing assistance, and 197 medical camps have been established. Following a depression in the Bay of Bengal, parts of the state experienced record rainfall, causing unprecedented floods, with Vijayawada being the worst affected.

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu also visited the affected areas in the state.
