Among cricket experts, only he predicted India-Pakistan final

NEW DELHI: An inspired Pakistan hammered a blundering India by 180 runs to lift the ICC Champions Trophy, riding on a scintillating hundred from rookie opener Fakhar Zaman and a sensational bowling spell from Mohammad Amir. This is Pakistan's first ICC title triumph since their 2009 World Twenty20 win but more importantly it broke the jinx of not performing against India in big ticket matches. For a team that can't play international cricket at home due to security issues, the victory has far-reaching implications. In a question about ICC Champions Trophy finalists, Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting predicted Australia-England final with Aussies to win. One of the most successful Indian captains and former opener Saurav Gangulay predicted India vs England final with Indian coming out victorious. Nasser Hussain also went for the same but opted to back England as to emerge as the winning team. Cricket legends like Kumar Sangakkara, Graeme Smith, Michael Atherton, Sanjay Manjrekar, Shaun Pollock had their say on finalists. But former Pakistan captain and commentator Ramiz Raja was the only one among all experts who predicted correctly. He predicted that Pakistan and India will reach the final of the tournament. “Pakistan will win the final,” he added. Watch the video:
