IPL 2025 Remaining Matches Schedule

There has been no official confirmation regarding the new schedule or venues.

The 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been suspended indefinitely due to escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan. The situation intensified after the PBKS vs DC match in Dharamsala was abruptly halted on Thursday night, citing serious security concerns for players and spectators.

With 16 matches still remaining - including the qualifiers and final - the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly considering a possible resumption around May 15 or 16. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the new schedule or venues.

12 league stage and 4 playoff matches are left in the league. Currently, Punjab, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Rajasthan have two matches each left, while Bangalore, Gujarat, Hyderabad, and Lucknow still need to play three games.

As per a Times of India report, if the situation allows for IPL 2025 to resume next week, the BCCI is exploring the possibility of shifting the remaining matches to safer locations. Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru are currently under consideration as potential host cities for the rest of the tournament.

"BCCI has decided to suspend the remainder of the ongoing TATA IPL 2025 with immediate effect for one week. Further updates regarding the new schedule and venues of the tournament will be announced in due course after a comprehensive assessment of the situation in consultation with relevant authorities and stakeholders," IPL said in a media advisory.
