After losing the toss, Gujarat Titans were put in to bat first. Sai Sudharsan played steadily, contributing 45 runs from 39 balls, including three boundaries and a six.
Azmatullah Omarzai (17), David Miller (12) and Rahul Tewatia (22) combined efforts to push the team's total to 168/6 in 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah showcased an exceptional performance, claiming three wickets while conceding only 14 runs in four overs.
In reply, Mumbai Indians suffered an early setback as their opener Ishan Kishan departed without scoring. Despite this, Rohit Sharma (43), Naman Dhir (20) and Dewald Brevis (46) displayed impressive performances to keep their team in the chase.
Contributions from Tilak Varma (25), Tim David (11), and Hardik Pandya (11) provided hope during their brief stints at the crease. Nonetheless, outstanding bowling spells from Rashid Khan, Mohit Sharma, and Spencer Johnson ultimately secured a six-run victory for the Titans, who now find themselves at the fourth position of the IPL 2024 points table.
