IPL 2024 Updated Points Table, Orange & Purple Cap: Delhi Capital (DC) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in yet another thriller game in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2024. Rishabh Pant-led DC downed Shubman Gill’s GT BY 4 runs in match number 40 of the IPL 2024. It was another game of the season that saw 400 plus runs being scored by both teams combined.
After being put in to bat first, DC made an imposing total of 224-8 in their 20 overs, thanks to Rishabh Pant’s 43-ball 88 runs knock. In reply, In pursuit of 225 runs, GT made a valiant effort but finished with a total of 220/8 after 20 overs. This loss has caused GT to slide down from the sixth to the seventh spot in the IPL 2024 points table, with eight points in nine games.
On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals also have eight points from nine games. However, they currently hold a higher position than GT in the rankings due to their superior net run rate of -0.386.
