Deepak Chahar Gets BCCI Clearance To Start training For Chennai Super Kings From Friday
CSK's quarantine period was extended for a few days after Deepak Chahar's Covid test came positive when he was tested for the dreaded virus at the end of his six-day quarantine.
Chennai Super Kings star speedster Deepak Chahar, who had earlier tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19) along with 11 CSK staff members and another player, has now fully recovered and has been given clearance by the BCCI to start training with CSK from Friday. CSK's quarantine period was extended for a few days after Deepak Chahar's Covid test came positive when he was tested for the dreaded virus at the end of his six-day quarantine. Now, CSK has finally been allowed to start training from September 5.
As per the BCCI protocol, Chahar had to undergo a cardio-vascular test after testing negative for Covid-19 two times. The fast-bowler finally entered CSK's bio-bubble on Wednesday.
"He will start training from today. He has got necessary clearance from BCCI," CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan told PTI. "The team is training hard and in good shape. We are looking forward to our first game."
Chennai Super Kings will be aiming to lift the IPL title for the for the fourth time under MS Dhoni's leadership. The opening game of the tournament is scheduled to be played on September 19 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI).
