FA Cup 2024/25 Semi-Final Draw Confirmed After Manchester City's Comeback Win

FA Cup 2024/25: The final-four of the oldest cup competition in football for the 2024/25 season are confirmed, after Manchester Cit6y's win over AFC Bournemouth on Sunday. Read below.

FA Cup 2024/25: Manchester City defeated AFC Bournemouth 2-1 to become the fourth and final side to seal a place in the semi-final of the FA Cup 2024/25. With the win, the 2023/24 finalists keep their silverware hopes alive for this season, as the club aims at avoiding a trophyless season in a very long time.

Pep Guardiola's men had to do it the hard way away at Bournemouth, as they were 1-0 down, 5 minutes after Erling Haaland squandered a golden chance from the spot-kick, before scoring two goals in second-half to seal the win.

The final-four for this year's FA Cup is pretty interesting, as apart from Manchester City, the three underdog teams eye a silverware glory that has eluded them for decades.

The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspurs failed to live up to the billing, as the 'Magic of the Cup' has well-and-truly been on display this season.

Nottingham Forest, who eye a UCL spot with a top-four finish in the Premier League, are enjoying a terrible season. The two-time European champions have not won the FA Cup since 1959, and up against them is a Manchester City side that have won the FA Cup in 2023, followed by a runners-up finish last season.

The first semi-final will be nothing short of history, as both Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are determined to end their quest for FA Cup glory.

While Crystal Palace have never won the FA Cup, Aston Villa on the other hand, is like a sleeping giant who finally have risen from deep sleep.

The former European champions last won the FA Cup in 1957, and given the likes of recruitments they made this January, an FA Cup glory is potentially destined in their favour.

FA Cup 2024/25 Semi-Final: Full Schedule

  • Semi-Final 1: Crystal Palace Vs Aston Villa
  • Semi-Final 2: Nottingham Forest Vs Manchester City

Note: The tentative date for fixtures is April 26, and the venue will be Wembley Stadium in London. The dates and times are a subject to change.
