World Cup 2019: Tendulkar replies to ICC after Rohit's six was compared to his

While there have been constant comparisons between the two shots and who played it better, Tendulkar shared his take on the same

Maintain their unbeaten streak against Pakistan in ICC World Cups, India registered a terrific 89-run victory in a rain-affected affair. Vice-captain Rohit Sharma was adjudged the man of the match for his magnificent century that guided India to a mammoth 336. But what caught the attention of cricket fans was one of Rohit’s sixes which resembled to Sachin Tendulkar’s upper-cut off Shoaib Akhtar in 2003 World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a video collage of both the batsmen playing that shot and asked the people out there, “Sachin in 2003 or Rohit in 2019 - who did it better?” Here’s the post: While there have been constant comparisons between the two shots and who played it better, Tendulkar shared his take on the same. Taking to Twitter, Tendulkar wrote: “We both are from INDIA and in this case, AAMCHI MUMBAI as well....So heads I win, tails you lose! (sic)”. Here's the post: It was an amazing display of professionalism from the Men in Blue against Pakistan in Manchester on Sunday. Speaking after the game, skipper Virat Kohli praised both Rohit and chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav for their display. “Rohit's knock was outstanding today. He again showed today why he is such a good ODI player. Kuldeep was brilliant. Those guys were only trying to play him out. A longer spell helped in that situation and he was getting into the rhythm. They were thinking that he would go out of the attack sooner rather than later,” said Kohli.
