Fans will be witnessing the combination of cinema and cricket once again as superstar Rajinikanth will be sharing the screen with former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev in the upcoming film called Lal Salaam. The south superstar took to his social media handle and posted a video where he was spotted with the former India captain.

“It is my honour and privilege working with the Legendary, most respected and wonderful human being Kapildevji., who made India proud winning for the first time ever..Cricket World Cup!!! #lalsalaam #therealkapildev”, Rajinikanth captioned the post.

In the picture, Haryana Hurricane was seen wearing grey track pants and a white t-shirt while Rajinikanth donned a white achkan which he paired with brown formal shoes. Fans after seeing both the stars together went berserk as one of the fans wrote,  “Two kings together on big screen, Thalaivaa".

In the movie, the legendary actor will be playing the role of  ‘Moideen Bhai’ in Lal Salaam which is directed by his daughter Aishwarya. Other film stars who will be marking their presence on the screen are Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. AR Rahman will be composing music for the film.

The last time, when Rajinikanth was spotted on the big screen, was back in 2021 in Annaatthe. His upcoming projects are Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar which is scheduled to release on August 10, 2023, while Lal Salaam will come later this year.
