Stephen Fleming Approached For Team India Head Coach Role? While there are several media reports which are claiming that the ex-New Zealand captain has been approached by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for Team India's head coach role, there has not been an official confirmation regarding the same. And now the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the IPL franchise where is currently associated as the head coach, has reponded on the same manner.
The Men in Yellow have responded in the negative. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan while speaking to Sports Now said: "I have not heard anything like this. There has been no communication from Stephen Fleming to CSK either," he was quoted as saying by the publication.

Earlier, a report carried by the Indian Express had claimed that the BCCI is considering Fleming as a suitable candidate for the role of the head coach, replacing Rahul Dravid. This is owing to the ex-Kiwi cricketer's man-management skills and his impeccable success at CSK.
CSK Alive In Race To IPL 2024 Playoffs
In IPL 2024, CSK remain alive in the race to the playoffs. So far only two teams have a guaranteed berth in the knockout stage of the competition with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) having assured themselves a place in final four.

CSK, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Delhi Capitals (DC), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) all remain alive for the final two vacant Playoff spots in the seventeenthe edition of the tournament. Mumbai Indians (MI), Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are the three teams that are out of the Playoffs race already.
