IND vs ENG, ICC World Cup 2019: Here is the predicted Playing XI for India

With India winning six of their seven encounters in the World Cup so far, there does not  seem to be much of chipping and chopping with the winning combination

India and England will face each other in one of the most awaited clashes of the ongoing Cricket World Cup at Birmingham today. While Kohli-led India would look to continue its winning streak against England and secure the crucial two points to qualify for the semis, the match holds greater significance for England, who are in a neck to neck race with New Zealand and Pakistan to qualify for the knockouts. With India winning six of their seven encounters in the World Cup so far, there does not  seem to be much of chipping and chopping with the winning combination with the exception of all-rounder Vijay Shankar's form with the bat. Here is India's predicted playing XI for the game against England Openers Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul Rohit Sharma has been in superlative form in the World Cup. The Hitman came to his own after scoring a belligerent ton against Australia. After getting dismissed in a controversial manner against West Indies, Rohit Sharma will look to score heavily against England. KL Rahul who came in place the injured Shikhar Dhawan would look to convert his starts into big scores. Rahul has been pretty consistent with his knocks but needs to make them count with a big innings against England. Middle-order Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Kedar Jadhav Virat Kohli has led India's batting efforts with a record four successive half tons in the World Cup so far. However the Indian captain would look to convert his half centuries into a ton and help India build a monumental total against England. Allrounder Vijay Shankar has failed to contribute with the bat in the three matches that he has played so far and is likely to be dropped. Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant could be included in the playing XI considering the fact that England has two spinners in the side. Kedar Jadhav's form with the bat has been lackluster and he needs to contribute more with the bat. Wicket-keeper and all-rounder MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya MS Dhoni has chipped in with valuable contributions with the willow down the order but needs to step up his pace of scoring runs. Dhoni has been exceptional with his glovesmanship behind the stumps and effected some lighting quick dismissals and catches. Hardik Pandya will once again look to provide the late flourish towards the end of the innings. The hard hitting batsman has played some absolute blinders in the tournament so far, helping India post some challenging totals against noteworthy opponents. The medium pacer has been in good form with the ball too, picking up wickets regularly. Bowlers Seamers - Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami Indian bowlers have collectively fared well as a bowling unit by defending some below par totals set by the 'Men in Blue' batting order in the recent encounters. While Jaspirt Bumrah has been phenomenal with his nagging line and length, Mohammad Shami who replaced injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been the real wicket-taker for India in the tournament so far. Shami has picked up two back to back four wicket hauls. Spinners - Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal Indian spin twins will surely make their place in the playing eleven against England on a spinning Edgbaston track. Both Chahal and Yadav have chocked the run flow in the middle overs and picked up wickets to compliment the efforts of the seamers.
