IND vs BAN, 2nd Test: Team India Script World Record, Win 4th Consecutive Test By An Innings

With yet another clinical win in the longer format against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens, India have made a world record as they are now the first team to win 4 consecutive tests by an innings.

India continued their winning juggernaut on home soil in Test cricket by registering an innings and 46-run win over Bangladesh in the first-ever Day/Night Test played with a pink ball at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. India scripted a thumping win after they bowled out Bangladesh for 195 runs in the second innings with Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma picking up nine wickets between them. With yet another clinical win in the format, India have made a world record as they are now the first team to win 4 consecutive tests by an innings. After inflicting consecutive innings defeat over the Proteas in their last home series, Kohli and Co. once again showcased their sheer supremacy in the longer format by trouncing Bangladesh with two successive innings wins. This is India team's record in the last four Tests Beat SA by innings & 137 runs, Pune Beat SA by innings & 202 runs, Ranchi Beat Ban by innings & 130 runs, Indore Beat Ban by innings & 46 runs, Kolkata Under Virat Kohli, it was India's 7th successive Test victory since winning the Test against West Indies in Antigua this August. It was only under MS Dhoni's leadership in 2013 (February-November) that India last had a 6-Test winning streak (four vs Australia and two vs West Indies).
