After Lord’s failure, Kuldeep makes a very ‘unique’ record

The 23-year old also became the second Indian bowler after Bhuvneshwar Kumar to take five wickets in all formats of the game. During the Lord's Test, he failed to even take a single wicket

Star bowler Kuldeep Yadav became the first ever chinaman bowler to pick up a five-wicket haul during Day 3 of the first Test match in Rajkot. The 23-year old also became the second Indian bowler after Bhuvneshwar Kumar to take five wickets in all formats of the game. Yadav is now the second Asian cricketer to achieve the feat after Sri Lanka’s Lakshan Sandakan did it against India in 2017.

However, England's tour for Kuldeep was extremely poor where he got a chance in just one Test. During the Lord's Test, he failed to even take a single wicket. After failing at Lord's, Kuldeep practiced fiercely with the red ball.

Returning from the tour, Kuldeep, practiced under the supervision of his personal coach. After that he played in the two-match home series against Australia A and then left for Asia Cup (ODI).

Kuldeep, who became the first Chinaman bowler to take five wickets in the Test for India, said, "After coming from England, I went to my home and met with my coach, with him I had a three-four day practice with the red ball. It was difficult because after playing with the white ball (ODI) I lost the rhythm. I was paying attention to throw the ball slower, because with the white ball you throw a fast ball. "

The additional exercise benefited Kuldeep, helping him take eight wickets in the second four-day test match against Australia A.
