  • Location: Mundan ceremonies are typically performed at pilgrimage sites or temples like Kashi, Haridwar, or any other sacred location. However, they can also be conducted at home during an auspicious time.
  • Puja and Havan: Before the Mundan, a puja and havan are performed. Lord Ganesha, family deities, and household gods are invoked for blessings.
  • Hair Cutting Ceremony: After sprinkling holy water or Ganga Jal on the child's head for purification, the child's hair is shaved.
  • Hair Immersion: The shaved hair is then immersed in a river or water body, as it is considered auspicious.
