Kamada Ekadashi Vrat Parana To Be Observed Tomorrow – Know The Timing, Rituals, And More

The Kamada Ekadashi fast is believed to destroy sinful deeds and fulfill all desires. However, its true benefits are attained only when the fast is broken at the right time and with proper rituals.

Kamada Ekadashi 2025: Today, April 8, marks the observance of Kamada Ekadashi, a sacred fasting day in the Hindu calendar, falling on the Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha during the month of Chaitra. This spiritually significant day is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is believed to absolve devotees of all sins while granting desired wishes and bringing happiness and prosperity to families.

Importance Of Kamada Ekadashi:

Kamada Ekadashi holds great religious importance. As per Hindu beliefs, observing this fast helps devotees attain virtue, peace, and divine blessings. Worshipping Lord Vishnu with full devotion on this day is said to yield immense spiritual benefits and pave the path toward liberation.

Parana Rituals For Kamada Ekadashi:

Like the fasting rituals, the Parana — the act of breaking the fast — is also governed by specific rules and timing. Observing the Parana at the correct time enhances the merit gained through the fast.

The fast is broken the next day, i.e., on Dwadashi Tithi (Wednesday, April 9, 2025). On this day, devotees should begin by performing Abhishekam (ritual bathing) of Lord Vishnu's idol using Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar). Before breaking the fast, offering charity and donations to Brahmins and the needy is recommended. Consuming rice during Parana is considered auspicious, as it is believed to prevent rebirth in inauspicious life forms.

Kamada Ekadashi 2025 Parana Time:

The Parana for Kamada Ekadashi should be done on April 9, 2025, between 6:00 AM and 8:34 AM. Performing the Parana within this time frame ensures the full benefits of the fast are received.
