First Sawan Somwar 2025 — Date, Puja Timings And Shubh Muhurat To Worship Lord Shiva

First Sawan Somwar 2025: The holy month of Sawan holds special significance for Lord Shiva devotees. This year, the first Sawan Somwar fast will be observed on 14 July, 2025.

First Sawan Somwar 2025: The month of Sawan, also known as Shravan, holds deep spiritual importance in Hinduism, especially for devotees of Lord Shiva. It is believed that during this sacred time, Lord Shiva descends to Earth and listens to the prayers of his devotees more attentively. This makes Sawan a powerful period for worship and seeking divine blessings.

While the entire month is considered holy, the Mondays that fall within Sawan, called Sawan Somwar, are particularly significant. Both the month and the day are closely associated with Lord Shiva, making these Mondays highly auspicious for fasting and prayers. Devotees observe fasts and perform special pujas on these days, with the first and last Sawan Somwar considered especially powerful. Those unable to observe all Mondays are advised to at least fast on the first and last ones for divine blessings.
