Ganga Dashahara will be celebrated on June 5. It falls on the Dashami Tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Jyeshtha. Bathing in the Ganga and donating charity on this day holds great significance. Taking a dip in the Ganga on Ganga Dashahara is believed to cleanse all sins.

Nirjala Ekadashi

The Nirjala Ekadashi fast will be observed on June 6. Nirjala Ekadashi is considered the most superior Ekadashi, and it is believed that observing this fast grants the benefits of all Ekadashis. Devotees observe a waterless fast on this day. The fast will be broken on June 7.

Ravi Pradosh Vrat

The Pradosh Vrat will be observed on June 8, the Trayodashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in Jyeshtha. Since it falls on a Sunday, it is called Ravi Pradosh Vrat. Special worship of Lord Shiva is performed on this day. This fast is also significant for Pitru Shanti.

Vat Savitri Purnima Vrat

Vat Savitri Purnima Vrat will be observed on June 10. This fast is observed for the long life of husbands. It is mainly observed in South Indian states, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. In most northern states, Vat Savitri Vrat is observed on Jyeshtha Amavasya.

Jyeshtha Purnima Vrat

Jyeshtha Purnima Vrat will be observed on June 11. The Jyeshtha Purnima Tithi starts on June 10 at 11:35 AM and lasts till June 11, 1:13 PM. This fast is kept for the well-being of children. Chandrodoy on June 11 will be at 7:41 AM. This day also marks Sant Kabir Jayanti, celebrated as the birth anniversary of Saint Kabir.

Yogini Ekadashi

Yogini Ekadashi will be observed on June 21. It is believed that observing this fast cleanses all sins and is as meritorious as feeding 88,000 Brahmins. It is celebrated across the three worlds.

Masik Shivratri / Som Pradosh Vrat

Masik Shivratri and Som Pradosh Vrat will be observed on June 23. When Trayodashi Tithi falls on a Monday, the Pradosh Vrat of that day is called Som Pradosh Vrat. The worship time for Som Pradosh is from 7:22 PM to 9:23 PM on June 23.

Ashadha Amavasya

Ashadha Amavasya falls on June 25. This new moon day of Krishna Paksha in Ashadha month is considered important for Pitru Poojan. Bathing in sacred rivers and performing charity and good deeds on this day hold great significance.

Gupt Navratri

Gupt Navratri begins on June 26. On this day, Ghata Sthapana will be performed between 5:25 AM and 6:58 AM. Various rituals and puja of Goddess Durga take place. The Puja and ceremonies of Gupt Navratri are similar to those of Sharadiya Navratri.

Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra

Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra will begin on June 27. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm in the state of Odisha. The festival takes place in Jagannath Puri, where the chariot procession honours Lord Jagannath along with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.
