Ind vs Eng: Ravichandran Ashwin Becomes First-Ever Bowler To Achieve 'Major Milestone' In Test Cricket

The India vs England second Test match is being played at the M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. On Day 2 of Ind vs Eng Chennai Test, England were all out after scoring 134 runs in their first innings.

For India, Ravichandran Ashwin took five wickets while bowling brilliantly to register a great bowling record in Test cricket. Ashiwn has become the first bowler in the history of Test cricket to take 200 wickets against left-handed batsmen.

Ashwin attained this special feat by cleaning up Stuart Broad for a duck. Not only Broad, even other English batsmen looked completely helpless in front of the off-spinner as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

This is the 23rd time R Ashwin has taken five wickets in Test cricket. He has now surpassed James Anderson, who has taken five wickets in Test cricket 22 times. 

At stumps on Day 2, India led England by 249 runs with Chetshwar Pujara (7*) and Rohit Sharma (25*) unbeaten on the crease. Earlier, India were all out after scoring 329 runs in the first innings.
