Rohit Sharma (79 sixes) surpassed MS Dhoni (78 sixes) to become India's 2nd-highest six-hitter in Tests. Ex-India opener Virender Sehwag (91) holds the number one position in the elite list.

Rohit Sharma matched MS Dhoni's tally of 211 sixes as captain in international cricket, placing him in second place in list of captains with most sixes in international cricket. The record for the most sixes as captain belongs to former England skipper Eoin Morgan (233 sixes).

Rohit Sharma went past former India captain Sourav Ganguly (18,575) to become India's 4th-highest run-getter in international cricket, now only behind Sachin Tendulkar (24,208), Virat Kohli (26,733) and Rahul Dravid (24,208).
